Yes, sometimes my daughter and I get accused of being sisters. And no, she’s not freaked out that her mother dresses like a hot babe in her 20s (like my baby) and not in her 40s (like I really am!)
And there was no surprise that we both decided to live our lives as women! When I sprung my gender identity crisis on my only son six years ago, he said he’d support my decision on one condition.
“Mom, you’re not going to lose a son – you’re gaining a daughter!"
As a single dad raising him, it never dawned on me that the apple didn’t fall that far from the tree! But I loved him – her – and we soon began to dress and shop together. Our hair grew long and we dyed it blonde! Soon, two sexy T-girls were having the time of their lives!
And today, we added a new member to our family – meet Hazel, my new granddaughter. She’s soooo cute! My daughter’s boyfriend gave Hazel to her for her birthday. My guy will be over soon and we’ll all go out for dinner and dancing!
